Socialism?

Today I came across many blogs supporting a turn in the US to socialism. These people actually fight for socialism. And the real odd thing is that most of the websites were representing youth socialists. Yes, youth. Half the time they don't even know what on earth they're supporting.

Dictionary.com defines socialism as:

a theory or system of socialorganization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of themeans of production and distribution,of capital, land, etc., inthe community as a whole.

They say they want world peace, no war, equality for everyone. Same pay. No rich, no poor, all equal. Everyone gets the same things, that way nobody gets their feelings hurt and everyone is "happy", and equal all the time.

Hmmmmmm... when you read these idiotic believes and desires does the word "communism" ring a bell?

One of the biggest lesson in life is opposition. Everything needs to have an opposite. Otherwise, everything is the same.
-hot needs cold in order for it to be called "hot"
-happy needs sad
-good needs bad
-rich needs poor
They all need each other. Is that concept really too hard to understand?

All men are created equal, but they aren't meant to stay equal. In life, every human needs to earn things. We need to learn the important value of hard work. People who work hard to earn their own money should be able to keep it.
Can you even imagine a socialist world? How horrible would that be? Sure, it sounds fine. Equality, equal rights, anti-war, "queer" liberation, immigrant rights, everyones free, right?
WRONG.
People need to learn that freedom doesn't come free.
Freedom to one certain group means captivity for the rest of everyone.

I came across a youth socialist website, called "Socialist action" mainly for teens and young people who want to support the entire world to turn socialist. Money is actually donated to these clueless "activists". This website explains what they want. But not once how they plan on getting it. They say things like:

"Socialist Action believes in a world without borders. We fight for complete immigrant rights, and oppose all restrictions and efforts to deport immigrants...We support the building of an autonomous queer liberation movement, where gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people can come together and make their own demands and develop their own leadership and power.... We are unconditional defenders of a woman’s right to choose, and are partisans in fight to keep abortion clinics open...We believe that Israel is a racist, colonial-settler state..."

This goes against everything I believe. These people need to LEAVE the u.s and go start their own "country" somewhere far, far away from me.
If you want this idiotic thing called socialism, please comment on what the heck you're thinking.
America, we may be in a war but the only thing that is going to destroy our country is our own selves.
mostly the democrats and socialists

One of the best articles I've ever read...

talented kid right there.

Miss him yet?

Will you just answer this question honestly?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had spent tens of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in the United States, would you have said that he is clueless.

If George W. Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in Texas, would you have thought he was a self important, conceited, and egotistical.

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potato as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush's administration had okay'd Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved.

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in only one year-- so you'll have three years to come up with an answer.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil...

I've really begun to understand this idiom in the past year...

...but I still don't understand the idiots in this past year.

We got the whole gay marriage fuss...

don't even get me started on SB1070

health care...blah blah blah.

We have some real dumb squeaky wheels in this country. Now lets take a look at some of the issues the...left side...has been whining about.

gay marriage-threw a fit about it, got their way, now its undecided on.
SB1070- threw a fit about it, got their way, now its undecided on.
health care- threw a fit about it, got their way, now its undecided on.

These are just a few of the many things the squeaky wheels have gotten because well, they know how to squeak louder than anybody. And half the time they don't have the slightest idea of what they're squeaking about.

awesome job liberals.

Economics

Just today Mr. Obama spoke with the Russian president, Dmitri Medvedev to talk about economics.
Yes, economics.
With Russia.
Uh Obama, where exactly are you in this photo?

The Good Book

Whether or not you believe the Bible to be true, you've got to admit that it has some pretty interesting things in it. If you spend time to really study and look at all the details, you'll learn some pretty amazing lessons. I love how the more you learn from history, the more ready you are for the future. Well, the Bible is the perfect example of that.

"Hold fast to the Bible. To the influence of this Book we are indebted for all the progress made in true civilization and to this we must look as our guide in the future."
-Ulysses S. Grant

Just the other night, I was reading this book. The book of Proverbs (as well as many others) talks a lot about leadership. Especially the examples of bad leadership.

Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint. (Pr 25.19)

A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days. (Pr 28.16)

If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked. (Pr 29.12, NIV)

And He (Jesus) spoke a parable to them: "Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?" (Lk 6.39)

Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Ps 2.10-11)

Its crazy how so many things have changed since the bible was written. Yet, its crazy how many things we have in common today. Especially government. I suggest that if you are one who has a strong interest in politics, to read the book of Alma in the Book of Mormon. Which talks about a war leader named Moroni who took it upon himself to bring freedom back to his country. If we had someone like him in a leadership position today, our country would be different.

I am starting this blog for many purpouses:
1. to learn. To learn about others opinions and views on things.
2. to show what my opinion on the government is
3. to express the love I have for this country

Agree or disagree with me, I don't really care.
